2++am: Blogging on a Friday again - 3 Fridays in a row! Having 'free as a bird' on repeat now. The song that twinnie and I love most on the cd. The song that we will play first thing in the morning and when we get home at night. The song that made me teared as I was rushing my report out 1 days before I was to leave Suzhou. The song that stimulates reflections and conversations. The song that was the perfect accompaniment to the uber long chat that we had till the sun rose, even when we were real tired that night.

6.02am: Just back from McDonald's. 2 McDonald's breakfast in 3 days, and I foresee one more later! Just like the good muggertoad days, minus the books..

8th July: The day I touched down in Singapore. The night Ky booked me from eons ago. My updates!! Sooo many things happened during the 2 months I was away...

11th July: My first Saturday back in the small red dot!

This is the 5kg box of biscuits I lugged back all the way from the big red dot! My current fave biscuit and our supply is going down fast! Too fast!


Seaweed biscuits!! Another box is on the way - woots!!


Training on Sunday and to Marina Square to collect Shape Run goodie bag! Had my curry chicken noodles and half of Topless 5! No more yam ice cream at Swensens! :x


Finally paddling after 3 months, and it really felt great! Even though there was a lot of swimming too!


15th July: Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Supper/Breakfast tea with e. Updates again - woootssss!!! Really, this is like the most happening sem break ever! Both the good and not-so-good stuff!


Camomile tea at Coffee Club! 2 rounds and it's game over. I've had better!


16th July: Checking out our new paddles at ulu Yishun! Our cool new brasca paddles are here, and they rock my socks!

And Bakerzin's New York Cheesecake at half-price was a deal too good to miss, so one cake it is, back home to enjoy! My big wobbly watermelon tubby!! >.<


And that's why it's just been horizontal expansion ever since I returned!

19th July: Shape Run with the babes!!! We actually started late 'cos we were all late! Yet, even with the lack of distance markers, drinking points and MY FINISHER BRACELET!!!, it was fun because of the peeps!

2622. 10km. 1:10:05. 1188th.

7 minutes faster than the timing I clocked at last year's Nike Run so woohoooo!!! :))

Many more updates to go! I've finally finally finally passed my Bronze Medallion test 2 Mondays ago!!! :)) That means I can be a certified lifeguard, and I can pursue a swimming instructor course if I wish to - yay! But of course, nothing beats the comfort of knowing that it's finally one down on my personal checklist - sweet!

It's just been real busy since I got back. But even with all that buzz, it feels like I've accomplished nothing much - my school work! At one point, it was lifesaving training on Mondays and Fridays, canoeing trainings on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and dragonboat training on Sundays. Had my first dboat training 2 Sundays ago - it was good! Ended up paddling for a good 6 hours though - 2 hours on dboat, 2 hours on K1, 2 hours on T1. And pigged out the rest of the week -_- !!

Twinnie will be touching down in Singapore in just 12 hours more!! Can't receive her at the airport though, 'cos I'll be on the roads on the trusty bike for tonight with 3 hours of sleep >.< . Yearning for the long updates and goodies and the laughter! :))

One month on - I can't believe I'm saying this but yes: 我也怀念苏州的好玩，好吃，好人！
