1st Xray
I had my 1st x-ray in my life today. It was an x-ray of my lungs. Cos I've been coughing for more than a month. The x-ray experience was indeed a memorable one. 1) The person at the Diagnostic Radiology Centre reception is the perfect example of a bad service staff. She handed me a form where I had to sign to confirm that I wasn't pregnant. Well, being the usual blur me, I couldn't find the box. She grew impatient and was like, "It's on the right, it's on the right". I scanned the right side of the form umpteen times, but I still couldn't find the box. The reason? It was on HER right, NOT MINE! And she started tapping her finger at the box - a clear sign of impatience. No wonder people say that the quality of service in Singapore is way below standard! I absolutely agree. 2) I had to change into this blue gown which made me feel pretty uncomfortable. Cos it was soo chilly in there. Plus, I was without my bra. Not used to that kind of feeling - like so "empty"! Hahaha! 3) The radiographer was a nice and friendly lady. I had to stand against this white panel and hold my breath. It was all done in less than 30 secs! 4) It was nice to see how your rib cage and lungs look like. Mine had a bonus! The top of my stomach was also included in the film! WoOhoO! (Like got no food inside leh! It was clear.) The diagnosis: There was a shadow at my lower left lung on the x-ray film. The doctor said that I have a mild infection on my left lung. So he prescribed me 2 weeks of "stronger" antibiotics, and I gotta go back for a review in 2 weeks. ****** Oh well. Have been thinking of alternatives if I can't make it to a uni. Being a radiographer seems pretty ok, from what I saw today. Otherwise, there's still Shatec. Hmmm.... ****** WoOhoO! There's a jap drama on ice hockey starting next week. And cutey Takuya Kimura is starring in it! Weeee....... ****** Oh boy. I haven't done much revision today. Argh!
My IQ dropped 0 points today!

Teachers' blogs
It's amazing how I managed to find sooo many blogs to read. It's even more amazing that most of them that I've found are real interesting and insightful. But the most amazing thing is to stumble upon a blog by someone who had actually taught in my school years ago! No wonder I found her looks vaguely familiar! ****** I guess the Gp prelims last Friday is pretty screwed. I was totally banking on Singapore for the essay, but the only question on it was beyond my comprehension. Argh! I'm hoping my general knowledge, essay structure or something, will actually get me a pass at least. And this'll be the pathetic 1st essay I've passed this year. Minor preparations were done for the aq in paper 2. Alas, I couldn't even finish writing half of what I'd wanted to. Blame it on bad time management. I was left with only 20 mins to complete summary and aq - which, I've realised, is an impossible task! ****** Canoeing training-cum-bonding session on Friday. Didn't join the training, cos I was coughing like hell. Did some dips, sit-ups and leg raises though. Went for 1 round on the track and I must say, stamina has definitely dropped alot alot! Just 1 round, and I was already panting like a pig, and looking all pale. Must be the cough. Must be. A major phototaking session after their 3 rounds of circuit. ![]() Phototaking (1) ![]() ![]() Phototaking (2) ![]() ![]() Phototaking (3) ![]() ![]() Phototaking (4) ![]() A whole lot of food were awaiting us after training. And I really mean alot. So much that we could even da bao. Hahaha. ![]() The spread (1) ![]() ![]() The spread (2) ![]() Sidenote: Tuition has become a dread. The thought of having 3 non-stop hrs of Math is such a put-off. Seriously. ****** Didn't go gift-shopping for Teachers' Day on Saturday. Was feeling tired, lazy, and sick. So the rest went on their shopping spree without me. Found out that I only needed to fork out $16.50 for the gifts. Btw, I saw this on a teacher's blog that I read: "I got loads of nifty cards and few gifts. I like getting few gifts. I mean, I'm not in this job for the loot, though it's nice to get presents. The best gift I had this year was a PowerPuff Girls file, followed closely by a copy of Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle. I'm not dissing Vonnegut, but he just can't compete with the PPG in my superficial little heart. The cards, on the other hand, were a real affirmation for me. It's always nice to hear a thank-you, whatever form it takes. I keep the cards; many gifts, I confess, I forget about." The saying, "It's the thought that counts", certainly holds true ya? ****** Oh ya. The Chem department decided to play "I'm a Survivor" for us to hear. Cos we (and they) have survived the term! Freaking hilarious man! ****** I've started on my revision (finally!), albeit with numerous breaks in between. Woohoo! Sucky thing: The headaches are bothering me again! And the throbbing pain is only felt on the left side of my head. Argh!

Durians!!
Because of a comment I made last week... My aunty bought 12 $5 durians for the family. 12!! Somehow, my whole family, including my ah ma, ah gong, uncles and aunties, got to know that I was the one who had asked for them. Not a good sign. Obviously, we couldn't finish the durians. And I was constantly asked to eat more, cos I was the "culprit". Gosh. Managed to stuff myself with a grand total of 4 pieces of durian. Sure gonna cough like crazy later. I should just keep my trap shut sometimes.

Coughing...
Cough cough cough... since 2 months ago. And it's only getting worse. It's definitely taking its toll on my lungs. I can feel it. =( And headaches have been popping by ever so often. It totally sucks big time! Today's been a really slack day. As in really really slack. 4 periods of break. 1 period Math lecture. Yet another break. 3 periods of Chem. Wait for 3.15 pm to come for the Chem extra lesson. Super sian! Gp prelim's this Friday. I feel sooo unprepared. Argh!~ Good thing: I've been catching the 6.52am bus every morning! WoOhOo! Haven't taken a cab in ages man! =)

NDR 2005
I actually slacked my weekend away! Argh! The result: I shrunk 2cm and gained 2 kg! Confirmed during height-weight taking on Thursday. Damn! The last time I was 1.6m was when I was in Sec 1 leh! I highly suspect the height-taking machine to be inaccurate cos everyone shrunk. But.. but.. but... Redeeming factor: I watched the whole National Day Rally tonight!!! =) WoOhoO!! Only my 2nd time man! Somehow, it was interesting enough to keep my glued to the black box for 2 hrs! So that means... Revision for GP prelims: Done!
Friends forever?
"Friends forever"? I highly doubt so. Am already seeing signs of it. Sigh. =(

C for CCA??
Wednesday: Sucky Math Day! =( 2 periods (1.5 hrs) of Math in the morning. 1.5 hrs of Math extra lesson after school. 1.5 hrs of Math consultation after the lesson. 1.5 hrs of Math tuition after the consultation. I almost died man! A zillion brain cells must have been killed by Math! Thursday: C for cca record. How appropriate! =( Cracked my brain to recall all that I've done the past year. Hope I can get a B. Met Teresa for lun-ner (lunch cum dinner). Had a hearty meal at Kovan food centre for just 5 bucks! WoOhOo! =) Got a Winnie the Pooh comb. Shopped at Cold Storage, and bought some durian home to eat! Weeeee....... I think we stinked the whole bus! Hahahaha! Friday: Mdm Tan ain't in school. Darn happy cos I didn't complete my essays. Heh. Went to LT 5 for Math lecture today. Luckily! Cos Ms Lim's definitely better than Mr Foo! Mugged for Chem pre-prelim test the entire night. Plus, there was math tuition from 7 - 10 pm. Torture! Spotted chapters. But also didn't managed to finish revising those chapters. Dead! Oh ya! I dreamt that... My calculator found its way back into my school bag, after an agonising 4-day journey. It had jumped out of my bag to explore the world outside, but soon realised that no place is better than home. Obviously la! My bag's pretty expensive, albeit not so clean, one leh! Deuter one you know! Oh how I wish. Today: Chem pre-prelim test. One of the last to enter the LT, as usual. Hahaha! Was frantically trying to get at least a weeee bit of Organic Chem into my pathetic mind. Hadn't touched it all. Paper's screwed. Argh!~

Weird
Got an out-of-the-blue email from a friend. Weird. Or is it spelt as 'wierd'? Am feeling sooo tired nowadays. Argh.
Busy!
Sooooo busy these days! I feel like I'm lacking sleep. Argh!~ Last Monday was fabulous. Bought new earrings. And finally got a nice top from Mango. Somehow I always end up doing last-minute shopping. Sigh. The Canoeing farewell was great! Food was... erm.. okay, but the ppt presentations done by the J2s and Mr Teng were awesome! Was speechless. Touching sight. Fond memories. Went to Boat Quay after that. The good thing about being younger than the rest was that I remained one of the sober few at 3am. Daffy was down after 2 cups of vodka! Incredible! Hahaha! It was hilarious seeing them going down one by one. WoOhoO! =P Eventually, I got sooo bored that I started to practise walking in stilettos. No mean feat man! Seriously wonders how people can actually run in them! Got home at 5+. Daffy slept over. Hahahaha! Oh ya. The school's National Day celebration this year is a weeee bit better than last year's. At least the people are high-er. Plus, I got an Adidas cap with my name on it and a team photo! WoOhoO! The NDP parade on Tuesday wasn't all that fantastic. Didn't go to school on Thursday. Chionged gp all day and night. Friday: Copied assignment. Got found out. Not good. Cut my hair at 'Chapter 2' (Marina Square) on Saturday. Pretty good. But the next one I wanna try is 'Heatwave' (the one owned by Bryan Wong and Quan Yifeng). $21 for a haircut, NOT $101, Daffy! Hahaha! =) Met Junwen and his gf. Heh. Sunday's gp day (night) again. Yesterday: Found out I did the wrong stuff for Chem. Got Physics test back. Failed - 8/25. Sucks. Today: Pre-prelim Chem practical test. Totally screwed. Can't get the results for Q.A. Didn't bring calculator. Sooo gonna fail. Argh. Went through corrections for the chem test I got AO for. Only comforting thing - Scored 8 1/4 out of 10 for 1 question. Great. Have the sudden sense of urgency now. Haven't started revision. Prelims in 15 days. Am soooooo dead!

One hell of a week!
Last week was seriously one hell of a week man! Monday - Mug for Chem test on Transition Metals and Chem Bonding Tuesday - Supposed to start on journal articles but was super tired cos I mugged the previous night Wednesday - Chionged 2 journal articles the whole night Thursday - Did summary for the journal article due on Saturday Friday - Did the article commentary, 2 essay outlines and 1 essay Friday was the ultimate man! The thought of having to complete all that on a Friday night was simply a put-off. Luckily, Lina helped me with 1 outline during tuition! WoOhoO! =P Super tired when I got home. Tuned in to Power 98 cos Shan Wee's sleep-inducing! Hahaha! Even msging Daffy and the radio couldn't keep me awake for long. Was half-sleeping while doing my work la! Wrote 1 sentence, sleep 5 mins, wrote 2 more sentence, sleep another 5 mins.... Lasted the whole night/morning... Saturday: Gp in the morning. Wasn't too bad. Met up with Lina to pass her the scrapbook stuff. Went to Parkway to look for a top for farewell. Gave up after walking around for a hr. So yea.. I people-watched for the next hr. An eye-opener indeed! There's actually sooo many beautiful people in Singapore! And their bods are gorgeous! Hahaha! Realsied that young moms are way cool man! And the small kids playing at the fountain... they really bring out the innocence in them! Cabbed to The Bayshore for my aunty's bbq. Fantastic condo. Wished I was living there. Pretty late, so there was not much food left. Argh!~ But oddly, I still felt pretty full when I left. Haha! My uncle fetched Teresa and I home, cos we stayed back to finish up what food was left! Hehe! Good choice man! Cos my uncle decided to detour to Geylang and gave us an educational tour on chickens. Real insightful! There were actually different lorong(s) for different types of girls! The young and pretty ones were usually found inside the lorong(s). And all of them were like standing 2 metres apart! So you can guess how many there were ya? Hahahaha! Update on Monday will be on the next entry.
