work makes life unremarkable

I feel like I've forgotten how to blog. The Blogger screen is in front of me, but the words don't come to me like they used to do, and that's frustrating.

Alright, here goes.

12.30pm on Monday - Lunch. Search through bag - No wallet found. Dig side pockets, back pockets, rummage through bag, book, bag of fruits - No 'frozen cash' found. Came up with 2 plans:

Plan A - Borrow
Plan B - Foot (Which means extra calories burnt, money a few cents saved, slimmer and more slender legs (I wish!)

Plan A was aborted in favour of Plan B, for obvious reasons.

Result: 1hr 45 mins on foot, from North to East/Central of Singapore. Tried and tested.

The past 2 weeks have been rather unremarkable.

There was the dinner with Sally at Miss Clarity's Cafe (Food's pretty good and prices are reasonable) before she left for Hong Kong. And I have no doubt that she's having a ball of a time there now, eating and shopping and sleeping and watching HK drama and shitty cartoons and the occasional good English movies. Oh! By the way, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants totally rocks (I'm a sucker for chick flicks. Young at heart, you see.) and of course, my oatmeal cookies rock too right?

And there were the weekend bakes:
3 weeks ago: Oatmeal cookies didn't turn out too bad. Sally can attest to that!
2 weeks ago: Cream puffs - The puffs didn't puff so Teresa and I decided to try making cookies with the batter instead. Added raisins and chocolate chips, then put them to burn in the oven - literally. The "cookies" turned out rock-hard and charred, so in the bin they went. We didn't even get to the cream.
1 week ago: Corn pudding was pretty nice. And I can put my very own 'Healthier Choice' stamp on it. Not too sweet and guilt-free, since I halved the amount of sugar and used reduced fat coconut milk.

Not forgetting the meet-up with Andri, when he popped by Singapore the previous week. He brought nougurt from Aussieland and they were fabulous. Had pistachios in them. Really nice stuff, nothing like the ones you get off the rack at the supermarket.

Okay, what else is there?

Yes. The Singapore Tourism Board has this postcard thingy going on, so don't be surprised if you see a postcard from yours truly in your mailbox!

One more thing. The psychologist-to-be is now a full-fledged psychologist. I've only one eye candy now. The other one was axed since I saw the wedding band on his finger.

Yayness! 3.5 weeks to the end of work!

And TGIF in 2 days! I can't wait!

A very random entry and it took me 1 1/2 hrs to write. Bleah.

Alright, 1.09am now. Time to SLEEP.

P.S Sally, no further news from SIM as yet.
