making history for the year 2006 - part 1

Making history for the year 2006 - Part 1

  1. I'm done with watching Grey's Anatomy, at least till Season 3 is out. Never once have I gotten this crazy over a show - to actually watch the entire season before they are shown on tv.
  2. I played tennis for the first time on Thursday. Let's just say that I don't really have a flair for any game that requires me to hit something with an extension of my arm. 2 balls flew over the very-high fence, 1 ball got stuck in it, countless balls bouncing everywhere (1 even bounced off the coconut tree outside the fence and re-entered the court), I don't know if it can get any worse.
  3. I got my visa done at the Chinese Embassy on Friday. Other than the fact that the embassy's only open between 9 - 12pm from Monday to Friday, our turn took more than 1 hour to come, our queue number was flashed only long enough for us to get up and take a couple of steps (the next number flashed before we could even reach the counter), the staff there seemed really unfriendly with the straight faces that they have all the time, it was all good.
  4. I went shopping for formal workwear, and got 2 skirts (Yes, skirts!), a 3-quarters and a belt. But now, I think I'll save them for dress-down days and get clothes that are more formal formal.
  5. I actually survived walking in a pair of heels for the entire College Day event yesterday. And mind you, it's not one of those shoes with the big block of rubber at the back of the sole, it was a pair of not-too-high stilettos! No trip-and-fall incidents, no heels-get stuck-in-somewhere incidents, which is fantastic considering it is my first time wearing heels (Not counting the trying-out-of-shoes at the store and the 30 mins that I walked in them last time).
  6. I finally got to chat with Mdm Tan at yesterday, and she told me how I'm more suited for an overseas - Australia, to be exact - education because I'm a person who has to play (Exactly. I definitely need my play time!). I must admit that she seems to be able to read people very well!
  7. I saw Mrs Suresh yesterday and the first thing she said to me was "Sarah! You lost a lot of weight! You went on a diet ah?". It's probably the dark brown pants and the heels working their magic, but well, I'll take that as a compliment.

On a sidenote, it's really frustrating when you can't do something because of the finances. Argh.

I'll end this post with a quote:

"If you knew this was your last day on Earth, how would you want to spend it?" Grey's Anatomy
