strings of expletives
I can never understand how some people use “fuck”, “bitch” or “bastard” like it’s just any other word. Here’s presenting bits of conversation that are commonly heard (especially among guys my age): When a lady does something wrong, “Fuck la! How can she do that?! Fucking Bitch!” Change ‘she’ to ‘he’ and ‘bitch’ to ‘bastard’... There you have it - when a guy does something wrong. Or when they come across tough questions, “What the fuck are they asking?! The paper’s fucking tough la!” You see... In a mere 10 seconds, they’ve already spoken a whole string of expletives. Just imagine how many they’ll spout throughout the day! Well, I was never allowed to use the words “fuck”, “bastard” or “bitch” at home. My 1st attempt at using “fuck” wasn’t too nice from what I remember. There was this one day (way back when I was still a primary school kid) I got so mad at my sis that I just went, “Fuck you!”. It’s a word I just learnt you see. And it seemed like a cool word to use then. Plus, my sis didn’t know the meaning of it, so she wouldn’t know how to rebut! Hahaha! But did I know the real meaning of it? No. Seconds later, Dad stormed into the room, and made me apologise to my sis (even though she was clearly in the wrong!). I did so very very reluctantly. He then sat us down and explained the meaning of the word to us, making sure every bit of what he said got into our heads. Since then, I’ve changed to milder forms of ‘scolding words’ like “stupid” and “idiotic”, which - I suppose - are not as offensive ya? =) It has also become an unwritten rule of some sort that I live by - No “fuck”, No “bastard”, No “bitch”. They sound darn crude anyway.
My IQ dropped 0 points today!
