Teachers' blogs

It's amazing how I managed to find sooo many blogs to read.

It's even more amazing that most of them that I've found are real interesting and insightful.

But the most amazing thing is to stumble upon a blog by someone who had actually taught in my school years ago!

No wonder I found her looks vaguely familiar!

I guess the Gp prelims last Friday is pretty screwed.

I was totally banking on Singapore for the essay, but the only question on it was beyond my comprehension. Argh!

I'm hoping my general knowledge, essay structure or something, will actually get me a pass at least. And this'll be the pathetic 1st essay I've passed this year.

Minor preparations were done for the aq in paper 2. Alas, I couldn't even finish writing half of what I'd wanted to. Blame it on bad time management. I was left with only 20 mins to complete summary and aq - which, I've realised, is an impossible task!

Canoeing training-cum-bonding session on Friday. Didn't join the training, cos I was coughing like hell. Did some dips, sit-ups and leg raises though. Went for 1 round on the track and I must say, stamina has definitely dropped alot alot! Just 1 round, and I was already panting like a pig, and looking all pale. Must be the cough. Must be.

A major phototaking session after their 3 rounds of circuit.

A whole lot of food were awaiting us after training. And I really mean alot. So much that we could even da bao. Hahaha.

Sidenote: Tuition has become a dread. The thought of having 3 non-stop hrs of Math is such a put-off. Seriously.

Didn't go gift-shopping for Teachers' Day on Saturday. Was feeling tired, lazy, and sick.

So the rest went on their shopping spree without me. Found out that I only needed to fork out $16.50 for the gifts.

Btw, I saw this on a teacher's blog that I read:

"I got loads of nifty cards and few gifts. I like getting few gifts. I mean, I'm not in this job for the loot, though it's nice to get presents. The best gift I had this year was a PowerPuff Girls file, followed closely by a copy of Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle. I'm not dissing Vonnegut, but he just can't compete with the PPG in my superficial little heart. The cards, on the other hand, were a real affirmation for me. It's always nice to hear a thank-you, whatever form it takes. I keep the cards; many gifts, I confess, I forget about."

The saying, "It's the thought that counts", certainly holds true ya?

******

Oh ya. The Chem department decided to play "I'm a Survivor" for us to hear. Cos we (and they) have survived the term! Freaking hilarious man!

******

I've started on my revision (finally!), albeit with numerous breaks in between. Woohoo!

Sucky thing: The headaches are bothering me again! And the throbbing pain is only felt on the left side of my head. Argh!
