Update
Okay, I know it's been a long time.
But first, on 12th December 2004, Yuen Foong and... I got 4th in the National Kayak Marathon 2004!!!!!!!!!!!!! =) Oh my gawd! It was totally unexpected! Couldn't believe my ears when the announcer said Srjc. Thought we missed it cos some Hwa Chong pair came in 6th, and we thought we were behind them. Haha... =) Melvin and Zhenxian also got 5th and 6th respectively. And Xunbin and Daphne were not the last, as they had wished! This shows that Sr Canoeists ain't that lousy okay! We are one of the best! =) Though we had a pretty bad start, we managed to catch up with the rest. *Giving myself a pat on my back* Lol! The start was way chaotic! The T2s were heading in all directions! Managed to inch our way out of the crashing boats eventually. Portage was great! We even overtook a few boats there! To think I was actually really apprehensive about it, cos I was afraid I'll be too shagged to even lift the boat. My first Canoeing medal at my first Canoeing competition. I feel really glad.. happy.. exhilirated.. fabulous? Whatever... Just very good! Now I'm more motivated to train harder for the upcoming SDBA! =) Went for dinner with the canoeists at Marina Bay. And it was all free! Haha... Cos there were extra plates, Junwen got me a pair of chopsticks and my spoon was from the ice bucket! There was free flow of ice cream, so I got one too! Haha... And Bennett appeared on the news! We stayed till 10+ just to catch it! Had loads of fun! Next, the Canoeing Camp from 7th Dec to 11th Dec, though I was only there for 3 days. Well, the days went like this: - Wake up - Breakfast - Training - Lunch - Study - Training - Dinner - Study - Sleep My my! Can't believe I actually survived the camp! All we did was train, study, eat and sleep. Except for the 2nd day when we paddled in Bedok Reservoir. True to it's name, the Bandit just wouldn't obey me! I was paddling in circles, just like everyone else. Haha... Was really fun splashing water and changing boats. Other than that, there was no entertainment whatsoever! Except for the last night when we slept in the study area - ghost stories, pingpong ball story. MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT!!! We've done up the Canoeing wall! And I think it's the most impressive wall in our school! Lol! =) The whole job was pretty tedious! Hong an, Daphne and I drew the boxes on the wall. Boy, it really did strain our neck! Then we had to paint the stones. Our arm muscles were working to the fullest! And Daph just kept getting "suan" by everyone! Haha... Cos she couldn't paint a box for nuts! Lol! Plus, she was lifted helplessly into the giant dumping area by the guys! Lol! And she was denied of having her name on the contribution wall. Haha... Well, that's all for now! Will update later! =)
My IQ dropped 0 points today!
