Today's my worst day ever, or at least while I'm
in Sr. But it's not only for me, my sister had a really bad day too! Well, my dm called my mom this morning, cos I was late 5 times this year (4 times were accumulated within the last 2 weeks). Just 2 days ago, my sister's principal called my mom to tell her that she wants to meet her because of her latecoming. Just gotta know from my sis that she had actually used her latecoming as an excuse to meet my mom so that she could talk to her about her results (straight Fs though).

Well, I had 2 "personal counselling" sessions today, and I'm officially under the 'Monitoring Scheme' - which means I have to report to Mr Philip Tan at 7.15am everyday - for people who are late more than 4 times. That's totally insane! If I wake up at 6.30am, it would be very good already. Now I have to wake up at like 6.15am everyday! Anyway, Mrs Kwek talked to me while that stupid dm called my mom. She was telling me how irresponsible it would be if my teacher was always late for her lessons. And how irresponsible was it for me to be late for school. I think it was kinda effective cos it did get me thinking.

When I finally managed to get out of it all, it was already about 8.20am. And the first period was Chemistry. When I entered the class, Mrs Suresh was like, "Sarah, late again?" For some reasons unknown, I'm always late on the days when the first period is Chemistry. So I've kinda missed about 2 to 3 of her lessons. She was going through the 'Chemical Bonding' tutorial, which I didn't prepare cos I didn't understand the topic at all. She must have realised that for she asked me to stay back cos she wants to 'talk to me'.

Anyway, she was like, "Sarah, why are you always late? And you haven't been preparing your work for the last 2 tutorials. Why? In the beginning of the year, you were like that and now you want to go back to your old ways?" I knew I was on her "Blacklisted List", but I never knew she actually noticed me enough to know that I haven't been preparing my work. To think that I actually thought I could hide it from her. She said that she would like to see Liling's and my grades improve. Well, she did make me feel kinda guilty and hmm... touched. But it really got me thinking. Like why am I starting to slack now? I have been doing my tutorials faithfully ever since she "marked" me in the beginning of the year. I've made improvements. But all's going down the drain cos I'm starting to slack. It's the same for Math. I didn't do my tutorial on Trigonometry cos I didn't understand the lectures. But the thing is, I didn't make an effort to try to grasp the concepts. I never did go through my lecture notes.

That's not the end though. The first thing Ms Ong said when she entered the class for PW was, "Sarah, you're late 5 times?! Why was I the last to know. Half the staffroom was like, "Sarah Ng, late 5 times". Why are you late? You must try to be early. No, you must be early!"

Now, I'm totally dreadful of Saturday, 31st July 2004. It's Parents' Day. I wonder what will Ms Ong say to my mom. I wonder what will my other teachers say. Argh!~
